Blake Lively Moves From Chanel to Gucci

Blake Lively, is without a doubt, beautiful. When Gossip Girl started, I didn’t get the hype. In the same way I never understood the Sienna Miller hype (which I now do). Leighton Meester was always my favourite. But over time, I came to appreciate her masses of long perfect blonde hair, her crazy long lean legs and her svelte arms to match.

In the press this week, it has been revealed that Blake Lively is currently shooting the new ad campaign for Gucci Premiere, a new fragrance to be launched exclusively in Selfridges on 5th July, in Harrods on the 11th July, then internationally in September. She’s not just the face for the fragrance though, she’s the face for the whole house, after previously being handpicked by Karl Lagerfeld to be the face for the Chanel Mademoiselle range in 2011/2012. Not a bad career so far for a 24 year old. The campaign is made up of black and white images by Mert & Marcus and a short film directed by Nicholas Wending Refn showing Blake in the Mojave Desert, in South California, wearing a sequinned Gucci dress. I’m already looking forward to seeing the whole campaign, commissioned by Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director – it’s guaranteed to be a thing of luxe-styling and flawless beauty, designed to make us swoon even more over Gucci’s majestic tailoring.
