I’ve always loved Graham & Spencer as a brand for their luxury basics, but it wasn’t until I visited their showroom for a preview of their Autumn/Winter 14 collection a couple of weeks ago that I realised how much. I could, with no exaggeration, have fit one of everything easily into my wardrobe. They’re a brand displaying the paradox of youth versus eons of experience in classic dressing. Some brands selling luxe classic wardrobe staples style their pieces so differently, that the market shifts to an altogether different type of customer, more Kate Middleton than Kate Upton. Lily Aldridge is currently the face of Velvet by Graham & Spencer by no coincidence. She embodies exactly the kind of woman the brand is about. Tomboy-chic, married to a rock-star, a Victoria’s Secrets hot body. I know. Enough said.
