Silver & Gold
There used to be this crazy notion, not so long ago, where mixing up certain colours was a rule to be obeyed. Like wearing blue and black, or mixing up silver and gold. Looking back, these rules are nonsensical. As we all know these days, there are no longer any rules, with the odd exception such as wearing short skirts and knee high boots, but this is more to do with how you want to be seen rather than mixing colours. As long as everything else is kept simple, why not wear silver and gold if that’s how you feel.
The first outing of my latest bag was with this outfit – its the perfect size for what little I seem to need to carry around these days. Simple, a delicate shade of grey with a box chain handle and leather strap just make it indispensible for my practical and aesthetic requirements.
I’m wearing a tuxedo-style blazer from Miss Selfridge (similar here), grey t-shirt. belt (similar here) and sunglasses from H&M, jeans from Miss Selfridge, boots from Office, bag from Topshop, cuff from Kurt Geiger and a vintage watch.
