Chanel Pop-Up Beauty Boutique at Covent Garden

Covent Garden is a beautiful corner of London, always buzzing with street entertainment, people flitting from shop to shop, all the smells and sounds we enjoy to take in when we stop to enjoy where we live, which isn’t always easy or possible but so worth it when we do. Covent Garden is even more beautiful at the moment with the addition of a Chanel Pop-Up Beauty Boutique, right next to Laduree, the cult brand of pastel hued Macarons. What a perfect pairing.

In hard financial times, pop-up shops are literally popping up all over the place. They’re in that location for short amount of time, with high levels of promotion and buzz and maintain an air of exclusivity and who doesn’t love exclusivity? Its a perfect solution for the marketing mans dream (me). Open from July until December, the Chanel Pop-Up Beauty Boutique offers consultations and manicures, as well as a selection of their latest cosmetic collections, including all those yummy exclusive nail colours which sell out quicker than a sky-diving-from-space-balloon can twist and break*

*completely unrelated newsworthy pun

So I took a visit to this cute little shop at the beginning of September and totally forgot to write about it, which is why is it late, but better late than never, as the saying goes, and here’s what I bought.

Autumnal shades of nail colour are welcome after all the brights I wore through the summer months and Provocation is a muted addition to my rapidly expanding collection of nail varnishes. And how sweet is this tiny bottle of Coco Noir, Chanels latest fragrance which is again perfect for Autumn/Winter…heady, strong and deep, just how I like my…perfumes.
