Thakoon Addition RTW Spring 2013
There’s something about Thakoon’s Addition Ready-To-Wear collection for Spring 2013 which has sent me a little tipsy already for Spring next year. As you know by now, I’ve stated how I feel about florals. I’m a little bit comme ci, comme ca about them. However the florals within these pieces are so tiny so don’t look so…..florally? The cut out patterns within the fabrics allow the pieces a modern clean feel, without feeling too feminine, in addition to the shapes of the clothes…..loose, bold lines, big sleeves, voluminous jackets yet still flattering. This collection allows the bold linear trend of Autumn/Winter 12 to transition into the next season, using fresh bright colours and florals print to launch us with dynamite into the fresh air of Springtime and honestly, its just what I needed to see after being engulfed with the A/W trends of this season.
